Greetings Pop Pickers!!

Big Grazie to all concerned for our excursion to Trieste and Milan this month. Particular thanks must
go to our road manager Gianni for driving us across northern Italy for 6 hours in the searing heat
and for catering for our every need. He ensured that we were suitably fed with the finest cuisine
northern Italy has to offer (and I’m still struggling to fit into my bathing costume as a result!!). He
also kept us amused with bon mottes delivered at high volume in restaurants, such as “I love the
booby”, “I am crazy about tits” and “The wine is f**king sh*t!!” Yay verily. Worthy of the Bard
himself!!

Neil dutifully shared a bed with Gianni....in the interests of saving money you understand. As it
turned out, our road manager suffers with a chronic condition that renders him prone to serial
flatulence during sleep. I’m sure that made for musical slumbers.

Thanks too to everybody that turned out for the acoustic gig at the Barge. The Barge holds many
fond memories for me and it was rather splendid to be able to add to those with our first acoustic
gig. We were really nervous beforehand as it was a bit of a leap in the dark – our first foray into
putting on a show without extreme volume. We really enjoyed it and we hope the goodly patrons of
Gillingham’s finest hostelry did too.

Saturday 23rd April sees us return to the Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden for our monthly(ish) London
jaunt. It’s a St George’s Day special and we’re supporting the Springtide Cavalry. Our man at the
Fiddler’s isn’t like your regular London promoter, putting on any old shite as long as they bring loads
of punters. He’s got his heart in the right place and has been really supportive in helping us out with
a regular London venue. Please, please come along and support your friendly neighbourhood garage
pop deviants, not to mention dear old Dan at the Fiddler’s.

In other news, songwriting for our next album continues and we’re rattling some of these off at
our gigs to work out which ones are keepers and which ones aren’t. We’ve got a provisional plan to
record in October. We like to go into the studio with about 15-16 songs, with the general idea that
the 12 best make it onto the album and you have a few tunes for bonus tracks and b-sides and so on.

Until we meet again friends!
